Nordic Food Localism: a sustainable way to live and eat?
On Monday February 18th, Futureperfect organises its next event at Fotografiska in Stockholm. Nordic Food Localism will delve into the localisation of production and consumption of food. We invite you, as a professional in the food sector, design, architecture or planning, to a detailed discussion on sustainable food and ways to integrate food into urban planning and architecture.
The guest speakers Mathias Dahlgren from Mathias Dahlgren Restauranger in the Grand Hotel, and the author Carolyn Steel, whose work includes the bestseller Hungry City. Join us for a tasteful adventure at Fotografiska!
Monday 18 February
Doors open 17.30
Program starts 18.30
Dinner (optional) ca 20.00
The program will kick off with a mingle moment where you can meet interested professionals and stakeholders. Later on, we invite you to a debate on gastronomy in a sustainable society with
Mathias Dahlgren (Mathias Dahlgren Matbaren and Matsalen)
Carolyn Steel (Hungry City)
Jan Åman (Atelierslice)
Ola Kjellander (Kjellander + Sjöberg)
Paul Svensson (Fotografiska)
The debate will be guided by John Manoochehri – architect, urban designer, and founder of Futureperfect – and Daniella Illerbrand of DVLOP.
The inputs of the panel members will be commented upon and critiqued by a group of food professionals working in sustainability and food, but not necessarily focussed on local supply chains:
Pär Larshans (Max Hamburgare)
Anders Larson (iWagyu)
Jan Wärnbäck (WWF)
Niklas Karlsson (Rosendals Trädgård)
If you think talking about food will make you hungry, we have you covered – a wholesome dinner will complete this evening at Fotografiska, prepared by the chefs at Fotografiska’s Bistro, and including premium Wagyu beef, courtesy of iWagyu. During the meal, you have a chance to continue the exchange of ideas with the debate speakers and fellow guests – panel debate participants, and members of the respondents’ group will lead the conversation on the various tables.
We are sure this will be a night to remember, and hope we can count you amongst the guests! For complete information, and bios on the speakers, see the fuller outline here.
Tickets are limited, so to ensure a spot, register here.
